Edge to Edge: 2¢ per square inch

Edge to Edge (dense): 2.2¢ per square inch

    *Minimum Charge: $50.00 per item

Regular Omni Thread: $5.00

King Tut Variegated: $8.00

Batting must be purchased at the shop. We have a large selection of packaged batting - you can pick out your batting when you drop off your quilt.

Estimating the Cost*

1. Measure the length and width of the quilt.

2. Multiply these two measurements.

     For example: A quilt that is 60" x 80" = 4800 square inches

3. Multiply the square inches by .02 to determine the cost.

     (i.e. 4800 x $.02 = $96 for the quilting service.)

4. Add in the cost for thread and batting.

    *Minimum Charge: $50.00 per item

2. Prepare your quilt top and backing prior to your quilt check-in appointment.

Quilt Pick-Up

The shop will call when your quilt is ready to be picked up. Full payment is due at the time of pick-up. Promptly pick-up all finished quilts within 30 days of completion.

Quilt Top and Backing Fabric Preparation*

1. Remove excess threads.

2. Quilt tops should be pressed, lay flat and be square to avoid puckering when quilted. (Note: Excess fabric in borders can result in puckers and or pleats during quilting.)

3. Edge seams in the quilt top should be secured. (Stay-stitch around the perimeter of the quilt top if you have pieced borders or open seams on the edges of your quilt top).

4. Pin your name to the quilt.

5. Mark the center top of both the quilt and the backing.

6. Make sure that your quilt back is 10 inches longer and 8 inches wider than quilt top.

7. Press any fabric seams on your backing.

8. Ensure that your backing is square and lays flat.

9. Press the backing to remove any creases.

10. Remove selvages from backing.

11. If backing is sewn be sure seam allowance is 1/2" and that seams are pressed open.

*Please note: Sheets cannot be used as backing.

Helpful Hint to Prevent Quilting Puckers:

Measure your quilt across the top, at the center, and at the bottom. These three measurements should be the same.

If not, make necessary adjustments in your quilt top to give you the best possible finished results.
