Inky Quilt Pattern by Phoebe Moon

Inky was a real octopus who lived at the National Aquarium of New Zealand. Though he was about the size of a soccer ball, he managed to compress his body small enough to escape through the narrow gap at the top of his tank. He then crawled across the aquarium floor and squeezed through a 6-inch drain pipe that led directly to the ocean. While Inky was never see again in real life, his story lives on as the inspiration for a children's book.
