Simply trace, cut, and sew! The additional lines at the bottom of the template help with exact placement, making it easy to fussy cut multiple, identical triangles.
This pattern teaches how to make a folded star hot pad in an entirely different way. This reinvented method is easy and fun, with no measuring or drawing. Includes the pattern and one printed interfacing template. You will need one template per hot pad as the triangles are not pieced together, but laid overlapping each other. The interfacing forms a basis for the hot pad, as well as being a ruler to position the triangles on. The star is built with 4 layers of folded triangles plus batting, making it thick enough to protect a surface from a hot dish.
