The Rocky Mountain Bear Claw is authentic with its 5 viscous claws and woodsy fabric line. The color layout for the quilt on the cover was created from a collection of batiks by Island Batik. The Bear Claw pattern and instructions take you back a few generations when quilt trends incorporated scrappy background and were pieced with repeating elements. The setting for the Bear Claw is unique in that the blocks are tilted in the layout, then sewn together by rotating the blocks around a 3.5" square. Spiky bordeer units were designed to square up the quilt. Floating Points, Smart Corners, and Template Layout Sheets are featured in theis design, bringing a classic Quiltworx pattern up to current design standards.
